1. Open the Google Play Store on your Android phone
2. Search for "JamDrive"
3. Download and install the app
4. Open the app

Create Your Account

1. Tap "Sign Up" on the welcome screen
2. Select "Driver" as your account type
3. Fill in your details:
   • Full name — As it appears on your ID
   • Email address — For account notifications
   • Phone number — For ride-related calls/SMS
   • Password — At least 8 characters
4. Tap "Create Account"
5. Verify your email address via the verification link sent to your inbox

Complete Your Driver Profile

1. Log in to the app
2. Go to Profile or Settings
3. Complete your profile:
   • Profile photo — Clear face photo, no sunglasses
   • Phone number — Verified via SMS
   • Gender — Required for gender-based ride preferences
   • Emergency contact — Name and phone number

Upload Your Documents

Navigate to Documents or Verification in the app.

Document Checklist

How to Upload

1. Tap on the document type (e.g., "Driver's License")
2. Choose "Take Photo" or "Upload from Gallery"
3. Ensure the document is:
   • Fully visible — All four corners in frame
   • Readable — Text is clear and sharp
   • Well-lit — No glare or shadows
   • Current — Not expired
4. Tap "Submit"
5. Repeat for all required documents

Photo Tips

• Place the document on a dark background for contrast
• Use natural light (avoid flash — it creates glare)
• Hold the camera directly above the document
• Make sure all text is readable
• For your profile photo: face the camera, neutral expression, good lighting

Vehicle Information

1. Go to Vehicle in your profile
2. Enter your vehicle details:
   • Make (e.g., Toyota, Honda, Nissan)
   • Model (e.g., Vitz, Fit, Note)
   • Year (e.g., 2018)
   • Color (e.g., Silver, Black, Red)
   • License plate number
   • Vehicle type (Sedan, SUV, Hatchback, Motorcycle, Scooter)
3. Upload vehicle photos (front, side, back)
4. Save

Vehicle Requirements

Background Check Authorization

1. In the verification section, tap "Authorize Background Check"
2. Read the authorization form
3. Check the consent box
4. Submit

What the background check covers:

• Criminal record check
• Driving record review
• Sex offender registry check

Timeline: Background checks typically take 24-48 hours.

Submit for Verification

1. Review all uploaded documents
2. Ensure all information is correct
3. Tap "Submit for Verification"
4. You'll see a confirmation: "Documents submitted for review"

Wait for Approval

What Happens During Review

1. Document check — Each document is reviewed for validity and clarity
2. Background check — Criminal and driving records are verified
3. Vehicle inspection — Vehicle details are verified (may require in-person inspection for some cases)

Checking Your Status

1. Open the JamDrive app
2. Go to Profile > Verification Status
3. You'll see one of these statuses:

If Action Is Required

If any document is rejected:

1. You'll receive a notification with the reason
2. Common reasons:
   • Photo is blurry or unreadable
   • Document is expired
   • Information doesn't match
   • Wrong document type uploaded
3. Fix the issue and re-upload
4. Resubmit for verification

You're Approved!

Once approved, you'll receive:

• Push notification — "Your driver account has been approved!"
• Email confirmation — Details of your approved status
• Dashboard access — Full access to driver features
