Your menu is the most important part of your JamDrive presence. A complete, well-photographed menu with accurate descriptions and competitive pricing is the #1 factor in getting orders. This tutorial covers creating your restaurant profile, uploading your menu, and optimizing your listings.

Creating Your Restaurant Profile

Restaurant Name

Your restaurant name will appear in the JamDrive app exactly as you enter it.

Tips:

Restaurant Description

Write a brief description that appears on your restaurant page.

Template: [Restaurant name] serves [type of food] in [location]. Known for [signature dish]. [Unique selling point]. Order now on JamDrive!
Example: Kingston Kitchen serves authentic Jamaican cuisine in the heart of Kingston. Known for our award-winning jerk chicken and festival. Family-owned since 1998. Order now on JamDrive!

Keep it under 200 characters — this appears in search results.

Creating Categories

Organize your menu into logical categories. Customers browse by category.

Common categories:

How to create a category:

  1. Go to Menu Management in your dashboard
  2. Click "Add Category"
  3. Enter the category name
  4. Set the display order (1, 2, 3, etc.)
  5. Save

Adding Menu Items

For each item, you'll need:

How to add an item:

  1. Go to Menu Management
  2. Click "Add Item" or "+" in the relevant category
  3. Fill in all fields
  4. Upload a photo (recommended)
  5. Click "Save"

Pricing Your Menu

Competitive pricing tips:

  1. Research competitors — Browse similar restaurants on JamDrive to see their prices
  2. Start competitive — Price slightly below or at market rate initially
  3. Consider bundle deals — "Meal for 2" or "Family pack" at a slight discount
  4. Account for fees — Your commission is 5-10%, so price accordingly
  5. Round numbers — JMD 1,200 is easier than JMD 1,187

Photography Tips

Photos make or break your menu. Follow these guidelines:

  • Don't use blurry or dark photos
  • Don't use stock photos — customers want to see YOUR food
  • Don't clutter the frame with too many items
  • Don't use filters that change the food's actual color
